My name is Anastacia Maness but most of my friends call me Stacie. When I publish a book (see I wrote “when” instead of “if”) I’ll be using my real name. :-) I’m still working on calling myself a writer. It’s something that I’ve dreamed of since about 5th grade when we were given an assignment to draw a life sized picture of ourselves dressed in the profession we wanted to pursue as an adult. I drew myself with a pencil in my hand and “Writter” on a name tag on my shirt.

I am also a Preacher’s wife of 16 years come November. My husband is my biggest supporter and my best friend. We have 6 children so far ranging in ages from 4 months to 14 years.

I have a blog where I write mostly about my family life. I really am looking forward to figuring out my platform and tribe and really fine tuning my writing.

I tried to figure out how to set up a profile picture too. If I figure it out, I’ll tell how I did it. But if someone can clue me in as to what I’m missing, I might get my picture up sooner. Until then I’ll proudly join Melissa with a blank face.

    My blog is .

It’s nice to be a part of this group. :-)

Ha! It’s not letting me edit my post. I thought I was being real techy and adding a link to my blog. Which I did but instead of the link being on my blog title it’s on my statement about being a part of this group. LOL

    Let me try that again.
My blog is Thoughts from Stacie.

    I hope that works. :-) I

I have a love-hate relationship with writing. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting it right; and nothing is more frustrating than that blasted cursor blinking on an empty screen.

I write professionally for a corporate communications team. When my content about nonprofits didn’t fit on the company blog, I started my own blog: http://www.mhilt.wordpress.com. And I loved it.

The first year came pretty easily — so many inspiring nonprofit stories to tell. It seemed to make a difference in my corner of the world.

But lately it’s been a bit of a slog, and I’m not sure why.I’ve attempted fiction, but can’t seem to stick with it long enough to go anywhere.

So, here I am: In love with writing, wanting to change the world with it, but coming up blank.

I hope that this course (which I found through Becky Robinson’s recommendation of Wrecked) will be the kickstart I’ve been looking for.

Hi! I’m Audra Michelle. I’m a very busy mother of three little boys four and under (well, 3 and under until this weekend!). I am abundantly blessed. I am mostly at home with them but fill every space in the schedule with being the publicity coordinator/webmaster for our local MOPS group, working part time for a local family resource agency, and then, of course, blogging! I am hoping to keep up with this course but am SO thankful that I can go at my own pace - life with the littles can be very unpredictable. I blog to inspire moms to THRIVE!

Hi, I’m Cavin (notice there’s no ‘L’). I’m probably the oldest in this community. I live in Colorado Springs, have been married to my first wife for 43 years, have two children and eight grandchildren. I love being a grandparent, reading, writing and just doing life with those I love. I just finished my second book and I’m looking forward to engaging with some of you, learning from you and investing the gifts and assets God has given me to bless others.

    Hey folks ~

I am a wife, mama, writer, blogger and believer. I choose to live each day with love, grace and complete surrender. Sometimes, I succeed.

My husband and I and our two little girls just relocated from the Northeast to western North Carolina. My husband tells me I have a southern spirit and he is right. It’s good to be home; a place where we can be surrounded by my husband’s family, thrive in the love of many and put down roots and grow.

This is a new journey for us. A new adventure. As part of that adventure I am re-igniting the passions God gave me for writing and story.

I am excited to be here and look forward to rediscovering who I am as a writer. My most recent pursuit involved a blog, Love in Marriage, where I wrote an entry a day (much of the time) in order to share 365 reasons why I love my husband (http://jcheaney.com/365reasons/). I’ve tinkered with the blog since completing that first year, but I’m still trying to find my way, my voice, my message.

This seems like a wonderful place to explore all three of those.

    Hey all,

I’m Chris. Living in the UK with my wife and our 5 week old little one. At the moment I’m employed as an engineer, and write on the side when I get chance/make time. We’re going to sell our house and move a few hundred miles away to start a church later this year (or early next if we can’t sell the house quickly), and that seems like a pretty good opportunity to make more time for writing. I’d love to learn to feel more comfortable writing, to find my voice more often, and to make a bit of money out of it too.

I looking forward to learning, practicing and meeting some great people.

Hi, gang. I’m Bill Bonikowsky from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada (a suburb of Vancouver). You can call me Billy B for short… and you can call my wife honey (actually, Joy).

This course is really going to be like trying to teach an old dog new tricks… but Jeff looks like a kind master. I took the giant step of creating a website (with the help of a friend) more than a year ago, and it still lays dormant. Right now “SimpleGuyAwesomeGod.com” says “under construction”. That’s a half truth. It’s asleep. And I’d like to wake it up.

You can contact me at twitter.com/bbonikowsky, or if that fails, by emailing me at [email protected]

Hi, I’m Marianne from Beverly, Massachusetts. A mother of two rambunctious toddlers, I used to be a freelance writer. I haven’t written much except for doing some occasional journaling in a long time.
I’m hoping that this will help me start writing again, hone my writing skills, learn something new, and share ideas.

    Hello folks.

I’m Jon of many hats. I’m a Marketing Coordinator by day, and also a graduate student (business) and business consultant by day and night. I blog at jonahenry.com, where I’ve found a calling to save leaders from an early death (too many leaders die during crisis, die from fear, or die from poor foundations before they start). I may be obsessive compulsive, and tend to do too much research for my writing… but the research has led me to my final “hat” of teaching. Mix it all together and somehow I’m a writer, so that is why I’m here. :)

I can be found on Twitter here.

    Hello,

I’m a Grandfather. Wow, that’s the first time I’ve put that down in writing. I’m a Husband to a beautiful Godly woman. We have five children and three grandchildren. I’m a retired Civil Servant and Veteran of the USAF. The Lord has been seasoning me in a wonderful way. So let’s learn together and experience some joy in creating words.

Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie. I live in a little town north of Little Rock, Arkansas. My family (3 kids and the hubs and I) raise/breed/show dairy goats and also have chickens, rabbits and dogs pecking, hopping and running around. I’m an adjunct instructor at the local law school and local technical school’s paralegal program (I practiced law for several years before deciding it wasn’t for me).
I have a personal blog, which is currently being neglected due to my teaching 5 classes this semester, at http://stephhwilliams.com. Our farm has a website (and mini blog) at http://farmatapplehill.com. I’m also on Twitter at https://twitter.com/stephhwilliams and Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/stephhwilliams.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello everyone! I am grateful to be a part of this course as I hope it will help me in building a platform in our church and for our radio show, biblicalthinking.org. These days a show on the radio is not enough as a presence online is needed to help build community and relationships with listeners. In this course I hope to learn to increase my blogging/writing skills to help develop relationships to a new level!
