You really want me to introduce myself?
September 14, 2024 at 1:14 pm #650HI!!!!
September 14, 2024 at 8:15 pm #651Hey Everyone! I’m Susie (obviously). Originally from Seattle, but I’ve been living in Texas for 7 years now, working with Youth With A Mission. As far as reading: does “anything that I can get my hands on” count as a genre? Still working on refining my writing, but I enjoy journaling, and have started doing a bit of fiction, just for fun.
Oh, and I’m a major music/concert junkie, if you want to know something random and completely nonessential about me.
September 19, 2024 at 5:23 am #674Yes, Pilar. Not just for me… but for everyone.
September 26, 2024 at 1:12 pm #861Hey! I’m Alene from Corpus Christi, Texas. I love reading mostly self improvement books intertwined with Christian non-fiction. I’m a speaker, teacher, and writer. I’ve struggled with a “voice” in writing. After a recent survey most said they’d prefer for me to write more bible study/devotional material. Excited for the direction ahead.
I have scaled back my photography gigs, but I love love love my camera and telling a story through the lens. Anybody want to take me on their mission trip as their photographer? just asking . . .
September 27, 2024 at 3:56 pm #962Howdy… I am Bill Kerwood: A son of God, Husband of Kristen, and Father of 3 (so far) unique kids 9, 7, &4. I have been a performer/presenter/entertainer for several years and am a TOTAL amateur at writing! My goal is 2 part…#1 write a blog entry every week that will encourage & equip those who read it while generating more presentation/performance work in the process. #2 My family would like to gain aptitude in telling strategic stories long & short…..written and live. You can learn more about me & my family at http://www.billkerwood.com/who-is-this-bill-kerwood-guy/ . The site is in process…. But you are welcome to browse. I look forward to learning & growing with you all.
September 27, 2024 at 7:50 pm #969Hi! I’m from London (Ontario not England). In addition to my fiction writing, I’m a fulltime freelance writer published across Canada specializing in marketing copy for faith-based non-profits, and short non-fiction pieces for magazines and newspapers. I specialize in interviews, profiles, and social justice initiatives. I’m passionate about making the world a better place one get-off-your-butt-and-do-something article at a time.
I’m a call-it-as-I-see-it truth teller, history nut & dog-owning cat lover. I’m co-writing a historical fantasy re-imagining the origins of the King Arthur legends.
I blog at http://www.lisahallwilson.com. I tweet, but Facebook is my playground. http://www.facebook.com/lisawilsonwriterSeptember 27, 2024 at 8:55 pm #970Hi; I’m Julie. I’m a copywriter and I specialize in special reports (white papers) for medium-size service businesses - although I also write lots of other stuff.
I blog at http://www.hero-stories.com which is rather new.
I live in St. George, Utah which is about 4 hours South of Salt Lake and 1 1/2 hours North of Sin City (ie Las Vegas).
Something Memorable - My husband and I have: 2 trucks, 3 dogs, 4 four-wheelers, 5 trailers, 6 horses, 7 kids, and 800 cows.
I’m excited to be here.
September 28, 2024 at 12:01 pm #971Hi,
I’m Josh and I am glad to be able to be a part of this first class of Tribe Writers. I currently work in IT and have always dreamed of being a writer. Yes, I’m one of those “I want to be a writer someday” guys. Hopefully this class will help me to change that.
I live in the Seattle area with my wife and three boys, four if you count our 8 pound ferocious ball of fluff, Iggy The Pup who believes he is a human price rather than a Maltese.
I currently blog at http://www.StrongerFeet.com on fitness related items currently (I’ve changed this multiple times) and have not yet found my niche as I keep changing what moves me to write.
I’m sure we will all get to know each other better as the course progresses and I am looking forward to learning not only from Jeff but each of you that decided to take this course.
September 28, 2024 at 1:17 pm #973Hi all!
I’m Jeremy and I’m so excited to go through this course. I’ve self-published two books, but struggling with building my platform. I am a teacher so most of my writing is about classroom technology, but I’ve started focusing more on church technology. I’m updating my webpage (http://jeremyrinkel.com) and hope to have it up and running by mid October. I will be launching a Classroom Technology (Classroom Tech Monthly) digital newsletter in the middle of October and my another digital newsletter (Church Tech Quarterly) in January. I have several ideas for books, but I’ve gone to writers conference and they tell me that I “must” have a platform. I’ve read Jeff’s book “Wrecked” and loved it. I’m excited to see what I can learn and apply through this course.September 28, 2024 at 4:33 pm #975Hi Everyone!
I’m Dave and I hail from Porter Ranch, CA (near Los Angeles). I am entering a new season of life & ministry where I will have more time to write both for work and for personal. By day, I work in the Facilities group of a large aerospace firm focusing on next-generation workplace design which includes writing & researching (love it!!).
I am just finishing up an term as Elder of my church and am entering a season of rest & refreshment. I love to travel and have spent the last few years as a visual storyteller with a missionary friend of mine. I love to take my camera and share the stories through lens as well as through the writing. I can be found taking pictures and sharing stories at http://everydaysnapshots.com.
Great to meet everyone!
September 28, 2024 at 7:39 pm #979Hey!
I’m Robbie in Woodland Hills, CA. I’m 28 years old and live life with tremendous passion and determination despite my physical limitations living with muscular dystrophy. My differences are my strength, to have a greater appreciation for life.
It had been years of taking college courses and procrastinating for me to get a much needed wake up call to realize my true calling as a writer is there to be released onto the world if I could end the false belief that I had to pursue a high-paying career just like everybody else.
I put all my efforts towards school when I really wanted to write my heart out to encourage and inspire others to not let anything stand in the way of living life to it’s fullest.
I started my blog recently at with the goal to write a few inspiring articles a week.
I’m looking forward to learning from Jeff and all of you so that I can build my platform and find my tribe!
Good luck to all of you!
September 28, 2024 at 8:48 pm #982Hi all! I’m James and I’m from Sutton in the UK. I’ve been writing for a long time, but only in recent years have I taken it seriously. I’m part of a growing church community near London and love to write, watch films, read and watch a bit of sport.
My passion is to share my journey with others and help us all discover and become the people we were created to be, to be human in the way we were designed to be human. I like to be real, honest and authentic in my writing and tell my story. I’m also committed to helping people write better stories with their lives, to live a meaningful life.
I do this through my writing, which I do largely on my blog, http://www.jamesprescott.co.uk - I’d love you to read and to tell me what you think!
I’m really excited by this course, it’s a very exciting and challenging adventure and Jeff has so much wisdom for us all - and I’m looking forward to exploring this and putting it into practice. Really wish the best for all of you, think it’s going to be good!
September 28, 2024 at 8:52 pm #983Oh, and by the way everyone, I’d love to connect with you all - it’s great to connect with other writers on a similar journey.

September 29, 2024 at 1:43 am #986Hi everyone,
This is Shawn from Tallahassee, Florida. The journals lining my shelves at home and the varied quotes on my bulletin board at work give evidence to my enjoyment of words and the power that comes from using them well. I enjoy writing for myself but feel a push to do more of it in public for the benefit of others. This is why I am here. I look forward to learning from and contributing to the group.
