Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that my husband and I are in the process of planting a church in our community, and I definitely need to write about that!
October 2, 2024 at 8:10 pm #1107Hello, everyone. I am Glenda and I live in North Alabama. (Hi, ya’ll.
I have been married for 34 years, have two married children one one adorable grandchild. I am a follower of Christ and enjoy everything about my life with Him. I love to express myself in writing…I am usually better at it when I am emotionally invested in my subject-should write greeting cards because I can certainly never find one that says what I want to say! Recently retired from my elementary classroom, but I am not retired from life! I spend quite a bit of time tutoring, a little time doing selective substitute teaching (no one taller than me and since I’m 5’2″, that means 2nd-4th graders!) I have a blog that I seldom write for, a 16 month old grandson for whom I am trying to journal, and a lifelong wish to touch others with words. I know I can do this, but writing is such toil for me. I am taking this course in an effort to make my writing sessions more of a natural, daily activity in my life, rather than a rare and momentous event. Looking forward to learning from everyone. October 2, 2024 at 8:39 pm #1108Hi, my name is Jennifer. I live in Arizona with my husband, three kids and our dog! I grew up writing and always dreamed of writing a book, but I took a few detours along the way. I never stopped writing, but I am not sure what to do with what I write. I have recently been encouraged to start a blog for parents of kids with learning disabilities and ADHD since that is what has been going on in our lives for the past few years, but I am not sure that is what I should do. I am looking forward to the course.
October 2, 2024 at 11:20 pm #1109Hello everyone,
I’m Cathy or clm, currently living in Nashville. Not by choice. My work relocated my job from heaven on earth…Northern California. So moving from San Francisco to Nashville has been a major culture shock and I’m still not happy about it. But I figure this will make a good book, hence writing about it.
I have a dormant blog about my athletic adventures and travels at http://ironclm.typepad.com/. I’ve been told many times that I should write a book, so finding the time to start is what I need to do and this seems like a good way to get started.

October 3, 2024 at 12:36 am #1113Hello everyone, I’m Elisha. A writer from Malaysia. Most probably I’ll be the only Malaysian or maybe even the only Asian to be part of this tribe. I currently just finished my studies and now I’m back in hometown running a small-business, dealing with office supplies, printing services and supplying alkaline ionic drinking water.
I’ve always wanted my messages to be heard and thus started couple of blogs:
1. Eli Shares
This is my first blog, a personal blog, but lately I’m not writing much in Eli Shares because I’ve get to a point where I don’t know what to write and what to share.
- http://facebook.com/EliShares2. Blog Tau
This is a blog dedicated to my tribe, a minority group called the Lun Bawang. Once, we are the fiercest headhunter ever live in the Borneo Island of Malaysia before we converted to Christianity and to be one of the tribe that leads a church movements throughout Malaysia.
- http://facebook.com/BlogTauBy joining this course with all of you, I hope I could learn a lot of writing skills and gradually improve myself to be one of Malaysian Top Bestseller Author. My first challenge is to rebuild both of my blogs. If you’ve read my blogs, I would like to know what makes it unique? I love to hear feedbacks from you all.
To be honest here, I’ve been fighting with myself to write here because of fear. And now it feels like a breakthrough, you know, getting things started. Just like Jeff said, the hardest part is to get started. Once you’ve started, it will just keep rolling out - the snowball effect.
I’m looking forward to connect with all my tribe mates.

October 3, 2024 at 12:38 am #1115Hi! I’m Santa Cliff Snider, and to use Jeff’s term, I got “wrecked” in 1962 the first time I put on a Santa Claus suit. This year marks the 50th year I have carried out my ministry of representing “The Real Meaning of Christmas,” Jesus Christ. I am a published author, Christian speaker, story teller and model for artists and photographers. I am anxious to learn new ways to tell my story to more people, and I am looking forward to interacting with everyone in this forum.
October 3, 2024 at 12:45 am #1118Hi everybody! I’m Colleen from Atlanta. I have written for healthcare trade publications, served on editorial boards, and written book reviews for business publishing companies and magazines. Although my writing has focused more on business and healthcare topics, I plan to expand into other areas because of my experiences. Like Jeff, I have been “wrecked” while serving the homeless of Atlanta and helping them rebuild their lives. Can’t wait to dig into the course! Thank you, Jeff!
I look forward to interacting with all of you guys! ColleenOctober 3, 2024 at 3:57 am #1120Hello Fellow Tribe Members. I’m Joe from Omaha. Married, five sons and two grandchildren and one grandchild scheduled to arrive during Christmas time. I have been bi-vocational my entire adult life as a church leader and business owner until seven years ago when I matched my passion for serving others with my role as lead partner of the Gallup Global Faith Division. Ever the entrepreneur I started my own company three years ago to offer public speaking, leadership development, strengths coaching and discipleship processes throughout the US, and soon Africa and the South Pacific region. My first book published by Tyndale Momentum will be in stores and Amazon Kindle March 1st, with plans for two more in the next two years. Looking forward to learning from Jeff and other members of our tribe.
October 3, 2024 at 4:28 am #1121Hello everyone,
I live in beautiful Port Townsend, Wa. My wife and I have 2 young kids, 5 and 7. I have written every day since my first child was born. I am on volume 9 of a ongoing story that shares daily activities, family history, stories, and experiences. At some point down the road I will give them to my kids.
I spent eight years as a Park Ranger and four bike patrol instructor for the International Police Mountain Bike Association. I am currently pursuing an MBA, and have two courses remaining in the program.
I recently started sharing stories at http://www.maberica.com. You can also find me on twitter (@maberica) or on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/newmaberica).
I am looking forward to this class and getting to interact with so many people from so many different places.
October 3, 2024 at 11:17 am #1123Nimen hao! I’m Amy, a Colorado native who spend nine wonderful years in Kansas and then moved to China, where I’ve lived for seventeen years.
About two years ago someone in the right place at the right time said, “You should write a book.” Others had said it (and I bet some of you have heard that too!). For me, it was a door of hope opening to me and I received it as both from that person and from God. I spent the following spring writing a book 500 words a day and wrote myself out of a funk and into renewed hope and excitment for life.
That book has not been published (and that’s OK, even if it never is, I am grateful for the process I went through … but I HOPE it will be!). I started a blog last year (http://messymiddle.com) and am ready to take it to the next level. I look forward to learning from and with you!
Amy

October 3, 2024 at 1:30 pm #1128Hey Everyone,
I am excited about this course, though I’m a little nervous about the timing. I am a blogger, teacher, church planter, disciple-maker, coach and coach trainer. I’m also the Director of Operations for the Missional Wisdom Foundation - which starts (and trains others to start) missional and monastic communities across the country.
I read voraciously - fiction and non-fiction alike. The vast majority of my non-fiction is Christian related, the VAST-majority of my fiction is not.
I write consistently - I just haven’t done a good job of writing in one place consistently and have struggled to build a platform beyond that of the average blogging hobbyist.
You can read some of my stuff at my website - missionalmonks.com

facebook - /bret.wellsOctober 3, 2024 at 1:49 pm #1129Hi! I’m extremely grateful to be around for this opportunity! I’m also very, very nervous. For some unknown reason I want to write in english, but my native language is swedish, so I also need to improve a lot in the phrasing and vocabulary! My greatest gratitude to Jeff Goins for everything he does and for expressing the thoughts in the “Manifest” that made me realize I’m not alone. I’m on Facebook (haha): lottawanner and just started a blog: lottawanner.wordpress.com Looking forward to hanging around with you all!
October 3, 2024 at 1:53 pm #1130I live in Holland, Michigan with my wife, 2 kids, and a greyhound. My day job is as an IT director for a school district where we have been using iPads with students. I’m seeing more and more opportunities where I have to be able to share our story on using technology with kids and feel weak in doing this in written form.
As an independent learner, I’m not great at asking for help. This course is a first step in growing my writing skills and learning to engage social media in a proactive way.

October 3, 2024 at 2:04 pm #1131Hi!
I’m Laura Livingood from Saint Paul, MN. I’m a wedding fashion blogger by profession and spend 40 hours a week writing about the stunning attributes of lace detailing on trumpet shaped wedding gowns. It’s overwhelming, I know. I’m am also a recent MFA reject because “blogging is not a legitimate form of creative writing.”
Here’s to not letting the opinion of close minded scholars dictate my creative future!
