Hi! I’m Elise from Montclair, NJ.
I’m a story writer, gatherer, and perfecter.
My brand-new venture is http://www.CirclesOfFaith.org,Where Faith, Life, and Community Intersect. It’s a website that fosters community among Christian women of all faith traditions and backgrounds through the exchange of stories and articles, blogs, events, and ministry spotlights.
I edit Healthcare Marketer’s Exchange (www.HMExchange.com), which is a monthly publication featuring mostly first-person narratives from members of the healthcare marketing industry. Topics include life lessons, second careers, overcoming adversity, charity involvement, pets, family, hobbies, passions, and more.
I’m also a college essay coach and freelance writer/editor/journalist.
I blog at http://www.OurStoriesGodsGlory.blogspot.com. Where I share stories about the journey of life—faith, relationships, family. I tweet at https://twitter.com/EncourageToday.
I’m absolutely certain we all have a story that matters to us, to each other, and to God and I love helping people discover, explore, and share their stories. That seems to be what I end up doing no matter what!
Looking forward to getting to know this tribe…and growing forward together.

Hi, I’m Elaine. Born and raised in Chicago but have lived in the burbs for the past 28 years. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a pastor (sounds like I roamed the earth with the dinosaurs but I’m not quite that old).

I am so excited about this course. I have journaled for years and experienced the blessing of seeing answered prayer as I read through old journals. I think the journalling was what actually developed my interest in writing. For a few years now I have dreamed of writing books and getting published. I’ve read books about writing and even taken a community college class on developing writing skills. I started a blog (soyoucallyourselfachristian.com) which I’m embarrassed to say I did not keep up (would love for you to check it out and give me feedback).

This course is so clear, concise, honest…taking away all the dressing and leaving the bare facts…it has really energized me to pursue my dream. I truly look forward to our interaction and the challenge to just do it.

Hello! I’m Kim Hyland from Virginia. I am a wife, mother of 6, teacher, speaker, reader, writer, and blogger. I love my family, encouraging women, and WORDS!

I’m super excited to be here and to really start investing some study and practice into my writing. I’ve been writing since I can remember but “went public” just a few years ago with my blog http://winsomewoman.blogspot.com.

Writing helps me see and make sense of my life, and it thrills me that sometimes my words encourage and challenge others!

I’m looking forward to learning and writing with you!

Hey everyone! I’m Ashleigh and I’m from a little town in Arkansas. Right now I’m working full time and finishing my MBA. I signed up for this course because I’m working on starting a blog community for high school girls to discover and learn what it really means to be a woman of God (think Good Women Project for teen girls). The whole idea started with the high school Sunday school class I teach, and I’m excited to see what happens. I also have a personal blog, which is going to center around wedding planning for the next months because I just got engaged! I am also a social media strategist for several companies.

Hi everyone. So glad to be part of this first Tribe Writers Class with you all. I’m Sheryl and live in South Florida. My day job is Partner Database Manager at OneHope. I’m also a writer. :)

Loved Jeff’s book and was doing well with writing daily until a few weeks ago when our house was robbed. They not only stole my laptop but also my back up hard drive, so basically all my writing from the past few years is gone. Lesson learned going forward to make sure you have an online backup. But it’s been difficult to get started again, so I’m hoping this course will be the motivation to do it.

I look forward to getting to know you all better and journeying this writing path with you.

Hi, I’m Kacey. I’m first a God chaser, wife and mom (3 kids all four years old and under). I also work full-time outside the home, and am also a blogger/writer. I’m currently writing one book I’d like to launch this year and another for next year.

I’ve been writing and blogging for public consumption for a little over a year, so I’d love it if any of you could stop by my hangouts, say hi, read some of my posts, and if you have time, email me any feedback on my writing.

    Hello all,
I’m Adam Bragg and just recently read You Are a Writer. It was complete serendipity that I discovered this book and it hit home for me.

While going through Jeff’s blog, I discovered tribe writers and thought it’s a great time to try it.

I’m at the “what’s next?” point in writing. This has a question I’ve asked of my writing for a long time. I love writing, gravitate toward it as much as I can in my day job. However outside work I write for myself in a journal.

I haven’t yet discovered what I could write about. It seems that my journal hasn’t yielded any ideas worth sharing.

Thanks & I’m looking forward to learning more about you all.

Hi, I’m Tamara and I’m from British Colunbia, Canada. I’m an accountant by trade, because I didn’t really like words growing up which meant numbers seemed the logical choice for my career. In Bible College, God showed me I didn’t actually hate words, but loved them and the power they had to get ideas across. And since then, I’ve had a growing desire and passion to write. I wrote for a ministry blog through my church for a couple of years and then started my own blog about 5 years ago. I feel like I’m at the point in my writing where I need some pointers to move forward with it. I’m looking forward to learning some great things to help me.

Hi, I go by “Mir” and “Mirtika” online (the former for ease, the latter is what my family nickname). Pronounced like the defunct Space Station “Mir” or “Meer-TEE-kah”.

I’m in the Miami area, am Cuban-American, am married to an amazing dude (29 years), and attend a local Calvary Chapel branch. I’m a bit of an otaku about anime/manga.

My primary literary interest is speculative fiction. I took a five-year hiatus from writing and getting back in seems very tough, hence the investment in this course to motivate me and focus me. While #1 for me is fantasy/SF, I also have been plotting a Christian romance and enjoy thrillers/mysteries.

I once started to build a tribe online (back in the early and mid 200s) with other Speculative Fiction Christian writers, and we created a blog site and blog tour (csff blog tour, Speculaltive Faith blog). I won the Speculative Fiction category in the ACFW Genesis contest in 2006. After having a couple of CBA editors requested my manuscript, I totally spazzed. (Yes, I have neurotic issues.)

Now, I’m believing God for my writing again, and I am choosing to heal of my weird fears/anxietes. Yes, I’m choosing not to spazz.

    Hi, all.

    Hi all!

I enjoy writing about too many topics on my personal blog: http://www.innovativesavings.com. It mirrors my life in that I’ve interests in far too many things, I’m unfocused, and connecting with people is, well, a challenge!

My blog’s been in existence for a little over a year. And in spite of purposefully achieving a following of 8-they’re my tribe they just don’t know it yet-I still declare myself a writer.

    Just cuz Jeff says so.

I look forward to refining my voice and writing words that my massive audience can sink their teeth into. Oh, and maybe, just maybe, uncovering some tactics that will allow even more folks to see these tasty words!

Good Grief. It’s too early in the morning.

    Hi All!
I’m Brianna Wasson. So excited to be here on this writing journey with you all. I usually live in the middle of a bunch of beautiful hills in Northeast Ohio, but right now I’m in month #5 of a one-year expat adventure in Bayreuth, Germany with my family. There are even more beautiful hills (and mountains) here. :) My husband and I have two daughters, ages 8 and 10.

I have a passion to know God and follow Him so closely that the people around me can’t help but find His crazy love, and the full kind of life that He designed for His children to live. I have a Master of Arts in Religion, which I have always wanted to use to encourage people to follow hard after Jesus. So I blog about it at .

I also contribute regularly to a daily devotional blog called (By the way, I am pretty clueless with HTML tags, so I am hoping beyond hope that I just linked those correctly).

I’m taking this course because I really need help in building a platform. As much as I love to write truth and use words to encourage people with it, I struggle when it comes to getting people to read the stuff I write. Simply put, I gotta’ find my tribe. :) My deep heart’s desire is to write and publish a book, but I know I need a platform. So — here I am.

You can find me at my blog (and the other one, too). But you can also find me on twitter @thensomore (where, in all honesty, I am only just finding my voice). My email is: [email protected].

Ok. So obviously I need a little help with my html stuff, too. Guess I’ll have to take a different course on that. :)
