Bryan. So great to see you in here. Well done. I think you made your point succinctly. You did a good job of clearing out the clutter.

One piece of feedback: beware of comma splices (e.g. “Stay away from those people, you can’t change them, but they might change you.”) Other than that, you might consider going back through a piece like this and adding some transitional phrases to keep the prose moving.

I typically write a long piece, cut it down to the essentials (which is what you have here), and then go back and add some transitions and such for flow. For my blog, that may mean a 1000-word piece gets whittled down to 500 words and then gets polished into 650 words.

It’s not that less is necessarily better. It’s just about making each word count.

Thanks for the feedback, Jeff. It’s interesting that you mention that sentence because I went back and forth with it. Also, thanks for the head’s up about transitions. I’ve had a difficult time clearing the clutter so may have gone a bit too far. I’m sure I will find a happy medium eventually.

Question: You can see my post, but I can’t. Is there a reason I cannot see my post here? Browser settings?

    Great class!

    Hi Bryan~
I’m having the same issue………I post but can’t see it. Thus, only Jeff has been able to give me feedback.
