I have a question regarding my latest blog.
https://medium.com/p/10e83513b735/edit
My brother (marketing consultant) was reviewing the piece, and advised me to better cut the blog into two posts, one with the story, the other with the lessons learned.
His argument is that after the story part, the reader is already satisfied and happy with the content and lessons learned. And that both stories combined would lower the tension and stretch with the reader.
As I am very eager for gaining more insight in how my readers’ minds perceive and digest my stories (and as I am just a freshmen Tribe Writer, approaching Module 1 Lesson 4 ;), I would like to hear your comment on how you experience the stretch and content of this blog draft.
Were you satisfied after the story part? Should it be two blogs? Any other helpful comments?
Thanks a lot for your help fellow Tribe Writers!

Hi Evert,
Can you post the blog post here directly or give another link to it. The link you posted above requires you to sign into medium and everyone does not have an account. If you can find another way to share it, I’ll be glad to give some feedback.

Hi Evert.
I can’t access the blog and seeing as I’m in the same league as you experience wise, maybe my advice might be limited. But what I understand so far from this course is that blogs need to be trimmed so that we remove the woffle. Not suggesting yours has any, but if you have two stories in one, then your brother is likely right. Personally, I find long blogs test my concentration and staying power, unless it’s a story that’s gripping. If the first story is good, then the sequal is worth being given it’s own space. You can always link the first one to the second, taking your readers on to the lessons you learnt. Hope that helped. Would love to read it when you go live. Cheers. Robert. -
