Hello! Does anyone have any input on pros/cons on having an ‘about page’ with a drop down tab? One for ‘about me’ personally, and the other page would be information ‘about my blog’. Both pages would have a call to action.

I will post my rough draft of ‘about me’. Thanks for your feedback!

    About Lucy Ann

God…Family…People…and Adventure…identify who I am and what I am all about.

First and foremost; I am dedicated to God and determined to live life passionately to bring Him glory. I wholeheartedly believe that anything worth doing is worth being passionate about.

My family is the solid foundation, from which I launch out into the great vast world. I was blessed to grow up in a loving home; my parents have just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. I am the second oldest of five children, I’m convinced, that is where I developed my competitive edge. Growing up with a brother, just 11 months older than me, I assumed an ‘I Can” attitude pretty early on in life.

I am the proud mom of a daughter and son who are my heartbeat. They are amazing people, living their own adventurous lives in NYC. I live in beautiful San Diego, California, with my wonderful husband Bryan, who is dedicated to making me smile every day! For that, and a long list of other things, I am forever grateful for the ‘gift’ he is in my life.

I am totally invested in people. My passion is to proclaim the love of Jesus to everyone. I love building relationships and community. I am dedicated to helping others embrace how valuable and irreplaceable they truly are.

I embrace life full steam ahead. I usually, jump right in and ask questions later. Sometimes that works, sometimes I realize, I probably should have asked questions first. Nonetheless, it makes for an exciting life.

When I am not Preaching, Teaching, Coaching or Writing, you will find me outdoors doing just about anything! Flying airplanes and riding my motorcycle are the most courageous feats I have accomplished. My love for surfing ranks up there with…I probably should have asked more questions first, but now that I am hooked…oh well! I work really hard at trying to beat Bryan at golf; I think I will always be striving to accomplish that goal. Walking the beach at sunset is always a wonderful way for me to end my day. Relaxing with a good book on a rainy day will always bring a smile to my heart.

Leave your name and contact information here in the area provided, and you will receive automatic notifications when I create a new blog post.

    I appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks, Lucy Ann

    Hi Lucy Ann,

I think it’s fine to have both if your blog has a story and theme behind it. It can be a great way to give readers a full circle picture of who you the author are, and what your site is all about. I would also place links on each page that takes you to the other. Your goal is to pull your readers in enough that they’ll want to read both.

And really like where your About Me page is headed. You’ve captured a good positive energy here that I think will really draw readers in!
