I read a absolutely wonderful book written directly from and for the writer’s heart. It’s The Writing Warrior - Discovering the Courage to Free Your True Voice by Laraine Herring. Well worth the read, especially while taking this course.

AnonymousDaily Rituals by Mason Currey. Good book to see what other writers, composers, and authors did on a day to day basis. Really showed me that you just have to do what works for you.
Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon. A cool little book that gives you tips on how to be creative. It’s really an interesting look on the subject.
I’ve also heard
On Writing by Stephen King. Heard good things about it, but haven’t read yet. It’s sitting on my shelf.

AnonymousI’ll also check out The Writing Warrior. I love having a good supply of unread books around. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Chelu-Ken, Thanks for the resource suggestions. The Writing Warrior is from a female’s perspective. I think you would like it, if nothing else she has a great, authentic voice and good stories. Enjoy!
