The 3-word exercise

1. Review a piece of writing. Use three adjectives to describe it.
2. List five of your favorite books or authors. Then describe them in three words.
3. Now imagine your ideal reader. Who are you writing for? Describe this person in three words or phrases.

Next Step Challenge

1. Email or call five people and ask them to describe you in three words.
2. Then compare that to your list and try to come up with three final words that describe your voice.
